JOB OVERVIEW
The Store Manager position at Samuels Jewelers manages the day-to-day operations of the assigned store, seeking to maximize company profit by providing the guidance and leadership necessary to achieve store sales plan. The Store Manager has direct oversight and responsibility of the staff within the assigned store.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensures customers receive outstanding guest service by providing and supporting a guest friendly environment
-Ensures jewelry is being sold profitably and works to meet or exceed established store business plan
-Drives Company KPI?s
-Reviews prior day?s business and formulates policies according to requirements for profitability of store operations
-Estimates and quotes prices, credit/contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
-Conducts store inventory counts
-Ensures displays are neat, jewelry is clean and attractively displayed
-Processes information/merchandise through POS Register system
-Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift and conducts bank deposits as required
-Monitors the work of the sales associates, providing motivation, direction and -counseling regarding daily sales goals and training as necessary
-Plans work schedules and assigns associates to specific duties
-Monitors Sales Associates training plan
-Monitors and approves timecards, corrects missed punches and approves or denies vacation and sick time
-Ensures compliance of associates with established security, sales, record keeping, policies and procedures
-Conducts weekly associate meetings to review sale goals and housekeeping topics
-Performs monthly evaluation of Sales Associates
-Recruits, hires, and trains new associates
-Documents associate conduct, performance and any employment related issues, per company policy
-Recommends and is involved in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment
-Represents Company at unemployment hearings along with Human Resource support
-Maintains excellent job knowledge of the processes, products, systems, compliance and company information, as well as, continual professional development through classes, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
Experience
-2 plus years? related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-2 plus years? experience in a supervisory or management role
Education
High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelor degree preferred Professional
Skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
-Ability to effectively articulate and give direction to other Associates Ability to work effectively with other Associates, Departments and Stores Ability to interact with a professional demeanor with staff, general public, and customers Effective prioritization and time management skills
-Ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure
Technical Skills
-Must have ?DCA? certification or currently enrolled, and timeline for completion must be within 3 months of assuming position
NON-PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, working with others as part of a team, and irregular schedule/overtime may be required at times.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
